Finally got the rear windows of my Honda Fit (2010) to roll down. They’d been stuck for several months, and I thought maybe the switches had both stopped working. As it turns out, I just had to hold them both down for several seconds. One after the other, each window made a slight squirming sound and then slowly descended into the door as though nothing was wrong. Maybe they just got stuck after months of disuse. Anyway, now I can drive around on these warm summer evenings without air conditioning and without the front windows letting excessive wind into my face. If for no other reason than to be able to roll the rear windows down, I can see why someone might prefer a four-door hatchback to an equivalent two-door.

Some times the heat makes the weatherseal stick. Give it a good whack or two with the pinkie end of a closed fist while you hold the button down. Up at the top, to try and break the seal. Works for me.

That used to happen to me in my 2010 WRX. Back windows would get mired in some sort of existential crisis and not come down, suddenly jerking into action after a few seconds of coaxing on the buttons.

I made sure to move em up and down about once every other week, which seemed to have helped.

yep I love four-doors for the extra windows too - I can roll the driver front window way down, but keep a majority of wind off my face by rolling the driver rear down 2 inches. #sedanlyfe #indabreeze #vanhalenhair

Disclaimer: not my car but what I aspire it to be like.
